To my left there sits a demon
Resting upon my shoulder
He is always with me, watching
His gaze keeps getting colder
I know the purpose he exists
For he is my past, you see
And never this will I forget
As he reminds what happened to me
To my right no angel is found
That presence I do not deserve
But instead a second demon
My torment, it's job to preserve
This demon does not look at me
For only ahead he stares
Making sure nobody gets close
Destroying anyone who cares
Some day I may defeat them both
But I know it is not this day
For at my worst do they take over
They keep me alive that way
So do not try to help, you can't
I need them more than ever
For if they were to leave me now
My ties to this life would sever

if it wasn't you? Who would it be, who would be going through what you are. you are saving someone else from your troubles. for if it were not you then it would be someone else.

The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it. ~~ Dee Hock
